Mini Tiered Cake Pans

Mini tiered cake pans are a great way to give an elegant look to your cake in an individual size. There are cake pans that look like odd shaped cupcake pans that make baking these super easy. If you don't want cupcake sized cakes, there are also cake pans that are a bit bigger and will feed a few people.

My favorite mini tiered cake pan is one by Wilton that bakes cakes about four inches tall. The cake looks tiered, but it is really only one cake. Due to their size, decorating these cakes is a pain in the butt, but they are very dramatic and elegant when finished.

Another cool thing you can do is to have a set of different sized shaped cookie cutters that you can use to cut tiers out of a flat sheet cake. I've seen this done a few times, and the cakes are absolutely gorgeous! You can make stars, hearts, dog bones or whatever shape you can imagine. The tricky part with this is creating the stands if you plan on separating the tiers. You can use the cookie cutter shape to trace and cut plastic or stiff cardboard. Their size makes this a pain, though.

Mini tiered cake pans are cute, elegant, and perfect for many situations. Flex your creative brain to come up with a good way to make them work for you. Just be ready to decorate some tiny cakes!
